Every Opportunity.

Read: Colossians 4:5-6medium_3656263494

It is December and Christmas is upon us! Why is this sweet time of year one that gets to be so busy? I love verses 5&6.

“Be wise…make the most of your opportunities…everything you say should be kind and well thought out so that you know how to answer everyone…”

Here is the challenge for you this December. Pray for wisdom, pray for God’s eyes to see others and the opportunities he provides to love on them and speak into their lives. Take the time and give people the most precious gift of all, the gift of your love and presence.

Verse 5 also identifies the people we are suppose to be especially wise in our actions towards, those who are outside the Christian faith. What family and friends will you see in the coming weeks that you don’t normally see? Who will you have opportunities to show Christ to through your words, actions, how you live your life? Pray especially for those times and those opportunities.

Application

1. Pray about the ways God is asking you to slow down and seek him on the people he is asking you to gift your presence to.

2. Who outside of the faith is it especially hard to love? Who in your life is the farthest from knowing Christ? Will you pray about how you can reach them? God will give you opportunities and wisdom.
